- ➤ Marvin Ramirez Sullivan from Ypsilanti Township was arraigned on charges of open murder, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon for the fatal 2021 shooting that killed 35-year-old Deyrl Timothy Banks outside Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse in Pittsfield Township — police say the investigation is ongoing. - ➤ Banelly Benitez Cruz, 28, who was accused of aiding a murder suspect's escape to Mexico, was sentenced to one year in prison by Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Arianne Slay—she had withdrawn her initial plea after the judge raised concerns about allowing her immediate reentry to the community.
