- ➤ AAA offers a free tow service from Nov. 26 until Dec. 1 to help drivers without a safe ride after drinking this Thanksgiving—covering tows up to 10 miles—and drivers can call 855-286-9246 for immediate help. MLive
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The American Red Cross held the Be a Hero blood drive at the Big House on November 23—collecting 420 units that can save 1,260 lives and marking the Blood Battle with Ohio State; the winning school will be announced at the football game on Saturday in Ann Arbor. MLive
- ➤ Michigan's Department of Agriculture reported that eight active bird flu outbreaks are affecting commercial and backyard flocks while the dairy herd strain that jumped to cows in 2024 has not been detected for months—state and federal agencies continue studying the virus to check for possible mutations. Officials remind poultry managers and hunters to follow safety measures and report any new cases to protect public health. FOX 2
