ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On Sunday evening, Nov. 23, fire crews responded to a structure fire at a pole barn off Jennings Road near Independence Lake in Webster Township and brought the blaze under control in about 30 minutes—owners had removed some equipment and no injuries were reported even as the barn suffered significant damage with a nearby building receiving minor heat damage.  MLive

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Ypsilanti City Council approved mini grants of $10,000 on November 18 to support three youth programs focused on literacy, athletics and theater—helping organizations like 826michigan, the Ypsilanti Youth Athletic Association, and Washtenaw International Theatre continue their work with local students. The funding will boost these programs as they serve hundreds of youth in the community.  MLive

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Michigan Wolverines will host defending national champion Buckeyes in Ann Arbor this Saturday — the game kicks off at 12 p.m. with a special 9 a.m. pregame show on FOX 2 — and OSU is favored by up to 9.5 points while Michigan expects running back Jordan Marshall to return after his shoulder injury.  FOX 2
