  • University of Michigan Professor Alison Davis Rabosky began her role as director of the UM Museum of Zoology in July and now leads a collection of about 15 million animal specimens—she said she accepted the role to make a positive change by boosting research and education opportunities.  MLive
  • Thais Vasconcelos became the first female director of the University of Michigan Herbarium in July and now manages over 1.7M plant specimens—she said her early walks in Brazil sparked her love for plants. She hopes the collection will help students and researchers explore plant science.  MLive
