  • Michigan football won 24-10 against Wisconsin at Michigan Stadium on Saturday after overcoming an early deficit with strong efforts by Justice Haynes and Bryce Underwood—Haynes ran 117 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Wolverines will travel to Los Angeles to play USC next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.  MLive
  • Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood had his best passing game on Saturday—completing 19 of 28 passes for 270 yards and a touchdown—in Michigan’s 24-10 win over Wisconsin. Wisconsin defensive lineman Jay’viar Suggs said Underwood is expected to be a future No.1 NFL draft pick because of his size, speed, and accuracy.  MLive
  • The Tigers started rookie pitcher Troy Melton in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Mariners Saturday night at 8:38 p.m. ET—George Kirby made his first postseason start for Seattle since 2022.  MLive
  • The Detroit Tigers activated infielder Colt Keith before Game 1 of the ALDS on Oct. 4, making him the designated hitter and moving Kerry Carpenter to right field as manager A.J. Hinch said Keith’s bat boosted the team. The team also recalled right-hander Brenan Hanifee to strengthen the bullpen—helping them adjust after a challenging series against Cleveland and Boston.  MLive
  • The Tigers added Colt Keith—recovering from right rib cage inflammation—and right-handed reliever Brenan Hanifee to their postseason roster to replace outfielder Justyn-Henry Malloy and reliever Paul Sewald as they prepare for the ALDS against the Mariners starting Saturday at 8:38 p.m. Keith, who hit .256 with 13 homers this season, is expected to bolster the team’s lineup.  MLive
  • Michigan fans once sang 'Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight' before adopting 'The Victors' in 1898 after a key win—linking early traditions with modern rivalry as the tune still plays after Wisconsin touchdowns. The Wolverines tried to curb the use of the song during the Badgers’ visit on Oct. 4, highlighting a historical debate over school pride.  MLive
  • Michigan's transfer running back Justice Haynes rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on Saturday in Ann Arbor to lead the Wolverines to a win over Wisconsin by a score of 24 to 10 — he has recorded over 100 rushing yards in every game this season.  MLive
