- ➤ Consumers Energy will raise natural gas rates by 6.8% starting November 1, meaning a typical customer will pay about $4.44 more each month after regulators approved a $157 million rate hike. The Michigan Public Safety Commission also approved over $200 million for pipeline upgrades + investments for low to moderate income customer support. FOX 2
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Ypsilanti Election Commission will hold a special meeting on October 10 at 10:00 a.m. in City Council Chambers at One South Huron to approve past meeting minutes and select election officers for the November 4 special election—residents may submit public comments, join virtually via Zoom, and persons with disabilities should contact City Clerk Tracey Boudreau by 5:00 p.m. on October 9.
