GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority will shut off water from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today on West Warner Avenue and Harriet Street for planned upgrades on water mains. A precautionary boil water advisory—requiring residents to boil water for at least three minutes before using it for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth—will remain in effect for up to 72 hours or until testing confirms safe water. - ➤ Today, YCUA shuts off water service from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Hawkins Street between Harriet and Franklin, Harriet Street from 1st Ave to Hawkins, Parkridge Community Center, Mt. Olive Church-God in Christ and Metropolitan Memorial Baptist Church while the City and YCUA replace water mains along West Warner and Harriet Streets — a boil water advisory will follow until test results confirm safety.
