- ➤ Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-94 Tuesday, Sept 2—when an 86-year-old driver’s Honda struck a semitrailer that spilled a load of sparkling grape juice, which closed both directions for four hours while crews cleared the wreckage. MLive
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ DTE crews installed smart grid devices on Wednesday morning in Metro Detroit as part of a 5-year, $10 billion plan to reduce outages—these devices prevented 16,000 outages in 2025 so far and 30 more will be installed weekly through year's end to help detect downed power lines faster. FOX 2

- ➤ A demolished boot camp-style prison in the Waterloo Recreation Area near Chelsea is now part of the largest state park on the Lower Peninsula, and a new plan will let campers and boaters use the site in the coming years — the facility once enforced strict military discipline. MLive
