- ➤ Lincoln Golden Ages Senior Café has reopened at Brick Elementary School in Augusta Township near Ypsilanti after a five-year pause to offer nutritious meals and a space for socialization from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, with donations and meal fees helping support the program. - ➤ Bird migration is ramping up across Michigan as millions of birds follow fall routes and BirdCast maps recorded 167.8 million birds in flight at 1 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29—alerting birdwatchers to high traffic areas for upcoming sightings. MLive

- ➤ For today's Michigan football opener at 7:30 p.m. against New Mexico, fans have many parking options near Michigan Stadium including permit-only lots, premium areas like Park N’ Party and RV spots that open early for games. Tailgating is offered in stadium lots and nearby areas, and vehicles must leave within two hours after games to avoid towing (for example, Pioneer High and Blue Lot provide specific access), with several companies providing special tailgate experiences.
