A football signed by 24 Heisman winners—including University of Michigan star Desmond Howard—will be auctioned online starting Sept.

1 and at an event on Sept. 11 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Revel Run in Chelsea to raise funds for hospice care for veterans. The auction is part of Arbor Hospice’s Barley, BBQ & Beats fundraiser that will offer food, music, and other bidding items.

For parents with students heading to the University of Michigan this fall, interim President Domenico Grasso will lead key campus decisions on teaching, research, and support while Provost Laurie McCauley and Michigan Medicine CEO David Miller guide academic and health services—members of the board such as Jordan Acker and Denise Ilitch will shape budgeting and construction projects to prepare for the new school year.
