- ➤ The City of Ypsilanti is asking residents and bike advocates to complete a survey as it seeks to renew its Bicycle Friendly Community status—recent efforts include developing downtown bike lanes and improving crossings over I-94. - ➤ A 53-year-old man remains in critical condition after being shot nearly a week ago in the 1300 block of Russell Street near Ypsilanti Township — a fatal shooting on July 23 left another man dead, and officers have not been able to speak with him due to his condition — Cmdr. - ➤ The Michigan Department of Natural Resources will raise fees for modern and semi-modern state park campsites and overnight lodging effective Aug. 1—modern campsites will cost $4–$10 more per night and deluxe lodging will be $160, while rustic sites remain unchanged. The move will help pay for better customer service, cleaner parks and improved amenities. FOX 2
