- ➤ On Sunday, July 21, the Humane Society of Huron Valley reported that a 5-year-old bulldog mix weighing 28 pounds was found emaciated near the intersection of Chalmers Drive and Washtenaw Avenue in Ann Arbor—staff suspect the dog was abused for breeding and dumped— and they are asking anyone with information to call their cruelty investigation hotline. - ➤ Investigators say Kathryn Bene Griffin, a Virginia woman declared dead after disappearing on a bicycle in 2012, may be living in Metro Detroit under the name China Black—she is a double amputee with memory loss and has a scar on her abdomen. FOX 2

- ➤ Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority will replace all water meters in the city and township with new Sonata Allegro units that track water use in real time—VEPO Metering will visit residences within the next year for a 30-minute installation during a four-hour appointment block, and customers will soon get instructions to schedule their service with their water account number ready.
