- ➤ Stefanie Kerska, a longtime swim coach who coached at the Olympics, flew with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels on Tuesday and said the ride was wild and physically intense (she compared the feeling to a train bearing down). The local Thunder Over Michigan air show at Willow Run Airport will feature sold-out Saturday and Sunday shows while Friday tickets remain available. FOX 2

- ➤ A dump truck driver died when a tire popped and he lost control of his 1994 Western Star truck on U S 23 near Northfield Rest Area+he crashed into a tree and was pronounced dead on the scene while police ruled out drugs or alcohol. FOX 2

- ➤ The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office ruled a murder-suicide after finding 17-year-old Gwendolyn Fay Smith and 33-year-old Ryne Jacob Leist shot at a Bedford Township home on the 1600 block of W Sterns Road on June 14 (Smith was ruled a homicide and Leist a suicide). MLive
- ➤ A 42-year-old Ypsilanti man, Jeremy Nelson, led Fenton police on a chase along US-23 that ended in Livingston County when his stolen car collided with a stopped vehicle then later struck a Chevrolet Silverado, injuring its driver who was taken to the hospital—he was arraigned on June 13 on charges of fleeing and eluding police and receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle.
