Good morning, Ypsilanti.

The Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development released its 2025 report showing 596 people were permanently housed, $1.3 million in emergency aid was given to 876 households, and projects like restoring Woodlawn Cemetery near Ypsilanti helped support residents facing housing challenges.

Washtenaw County will begin road work next week, with closures including the State Road between US-12 and Old State Road in Pittsfield Township and the Martz and Whittaker intersection in Ypsilanti (schedules subject to change) affecting several local routes.

Drivers should check their travel plans before heading out.

River Pham, a Skyline senior, scored two goals to help the Eagles win the Division 1 district title last week in a key postseason match; the team now advances to the state semifinals and is one win away from a championship appearance.
