ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Emergency responders found a man dead and burned in Ann Arbor Township on June 4 after a car crash near Barton Shore Drive and Whitmore Lake Road—he was pronounced dead at 3:56 p.m. MLive
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Just after 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Washtenaw County deputies found a burned body 30 yards from a semi-truck cab crash near Whitmore Lake and are investigating whether the body belongs to the driver and if an accelerant was used—cmdr. Eugene Rush called the incident suspicious. FOX 2
- ➤ Former Ypsilanti city manager Frances McMullan, 57, was charged with embezzlement after a Michigan State Police investigation into her misuse of a city credit card led to a warrant issued on Tuesday, June 3, 2023—she faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted. MLive

- ➤ Ypsilanti City Council voted 4—3 to reject pay raises for councilmembers, the mayor and the mayor pro tem, so their salaries remain unchanged. Some members argued that raises would help more diverse candidates run for office while others said funds are needed for essential city services. MLive
