- ➤ Mercedes-Benz announced on May 22 that it is closing its financial services office in Farmington Hills and will relocate 400 jobs to Atlanta as it sets up its new North American headquarters—employees will receive relocation packages while 180 research roles stay in Ann Arbor. The company plans to consolidate up to 500 jobs across its U.S. facilities with the Atlanta hub and new R&D center expected to be completed by August 2026. MLive

- ➤ On May 20, the Michigan Attorney General dropped charges for three protesters involved in a die-in protest that disrupted a University of Michigan Festifall event last August—about 50 people were asked to leave and four individuals were arrested. MLive
