- ➤ TEDxYpsilanti will host a community ideas event on June 26 at Eastern Michigan University — the second TEDx event in the city, designed to share diverse perspectives from local and North American speakers. Organized by the Ypsilanti District Library and nonprofit partners, it promises fresh insights for residents. MLive
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Ann Arbor area boys track and field leaders were released for May 7 events, showing top local performers in sprints, relays and field events + including competitive times from Ypsilanti Lincoln and regional schools. MLive
- ➤ Ann Arbor-area high school softball district pairings are set for the final week of May — matchups in Dexter, Ypsilanti and Chelsea include Division 1 and Division 2 contests, with winners advancing to regional tournaments. MLive
- ➤ Michigan will defend its Players Era title in a tournament with new brackets in Las Vegas next season (the event now features a 24 team field split into an eight team bracket the week before Thanksgiving and a 16 team bracket the following week with games broadcast on ESPN). MLive
