- ➤ Three University of Michigan professors were elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, joining the 2026 honorees for their work in computer science, history & political science. Their induction ceremonies will take place in October in Cambridge, MA. MLive

- ➤ Michigan guard Elliot Cadeau surprised fans by entering the NBA draft Friday while keeping his college eligibility—players have until May 27 to decide and he averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 assists last season for the Wolverines. MLive
- ➤ Michigan edge rusher Jaishawn Barham was selected by the Dallas Cowboys on Friday in the NFL Draft third round, making him the third Michigan player picked on Day 2. Barham (6'3½) posted four sacks and a forced fumble at Michigan. MLive
- ➤ Michigan junior center Aday Mara declared for the NBA draft Friday after a season where he led Michigan in blocks and played all 40 games while seeking more minutes than at UCLA — he retains the option to keep his college eligibility until May 27. MLive
