Carousel Acres — a long-established petting farm in South Lyon — has welcomed Flash, a 4-month-old rescued sloth now ready to greet visitors alongside Priscilla.

The farm offers scheduled encounters and private home visits with the animals.

The Ypsi Fine Arts Club will host a free art event on Wednesday, May 6 at Riverside Arts Center’s North Gallery where award-winning filmmaker Angela Kline will speak & Michigan native Eric Reou will raffle his painting 'Frog Abstracted.' Doors open at 5 p.m. with raffle tickets available in person.

University of Michigan will host its second annual Climate Week from Sept.

26 to Oct. 3 with programs across Ann Arbor, Flint, and Dearborn campuses that focus on practical climate solutions and local partnerships. Events include Harvest Fest on Sept. 27 and a foraging talk on Sept. 30.
