EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Nhu Do, principal at Washtenaw International High School (WIHI) and Middle Academy, will retire at the end of the school year after building inclusive academic programs and expanding scholarship support. She announced her decision via letter on April 14 and plans to focus on family and teaching at UM. MLive
- ➤ University of Michigan president Domenico Grasso now holds discretion over athletic director Warde Manuel amid ongoing issues in the athletics department. The board is focused on searching for a full-time president and will review the investigations at the May regents meeting — a step toward improving accountability. MLive
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Radio host Thomas Carballo & his wife Chelsea will serve as keynote speakers at Michigan Medicine’s Women’s Health Luncheon on May 7 at The Department at Hudson’s in Detroit, where they will share Chelsea’s cancer journey to support early-stage research on women’s health. MLive
