- ➤ A judge ruled on Apr. 8 that Concordia University can keep about $3M from donor Thunder Haab’s trust to support its Ann Arbor campus (downsized in 2024), rejecting the foundation's bid to block part of her trust. Concordia must use funds for an athletic center named for Thunder Haab. MLive
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Three Ann Arbor area high school boys basketball players earned AP all-state honors for the 2025-26 season as Pioneer senior Jordan Harrison led his team to a regional title and players from Huron and Chelsea received second-team recognition selected by a panel of 14 sportswriters. MLive
- ➤ Twenty high-school girls soccer players from the Ann Arbor area were named as rising stars based on last season's honors and coach input, with the list highlighting talent expected to shine this spring. Local schools and clubs are eager to see these players make their mark. MLive
- ➤ Michigan football will miss reserve running back Micah Ka’apana after he suffered a lower-leg injury expected to sideline him for the season, as coach Whittingham said the depth chart now sees more competition with starter Jordan Marshall + freshman Savion Hiter. MLive
- ➤ Michigan basketball faces major roster changes for next season as half of its championship players will not return, with some opting for the NBA or transferring; coach Dusty May stays while assistant Justin Joyner departs for Oregon State.
