CRIME NEWS

  • The case against Eddie Gardner Jr., 38, accused of shooting a man in the chest near Ypsilanti was dismissed—prosecutors declined to pursue one of the cases after a bindover was quashed.  MLive

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On March 27, top University of Michigan officials emailed that the school would end its DEI programs by closing the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion—staff will shift to strengthen student support like financial aid and mental health services. The university also ended its DEI 2.0 Strategic Plan while updating its online presence to reflect the new direction.  MLive
