  • Melvin Parson, founder of We The People Opportunity Farm in Ypsilanti Township who helped people rebuild their lives, died March 5 at age 61. He had planned to open Good Soil Café in a notable local building and earned awards for his community work.  MLive

  • UM students can connect using squadxoxo, a new friendship website launched on Feb. 20 that forms four-person groups every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Developers Ramesh and Shardow plan to launch mobile apps during spring break to expand its reach.  MLive
