- ➤ Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS) will ban cellphones during class by next fall per a new state law, and the board is waiting for the superintendent’s report on the best policy. The district is considering measures like pocket pouches while weighing costs for nearly 17,000 students. MLive
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Residents in Norvell Township opposed American Aggregates’ proposed 600-acre gravel mine near Watkins Lake State Park on Feb. 17, citing noise, traffic, and environmental risks (including impacts on wildlife and water) at a board meeting.
