About this event

MSHL is now offering Dementia Friends Michigan workshops quarterly. For the month of September MSHL will be offering this training on September 29th at 6pm.

Let’s learn more together and raise awareness about dementia and work towards becoming a Dementia Friendly Community. Register with Mandy Reams, Milan Oasis Director, 734-489-1075, mandyr@milanseniors.org

What are Dementia Friends? It is a global movement to help communities support those with dementia. It takes one session to become a Dementia Friend, where you will learn how to recognize the signs of dementia, how to effectively communicate with people living with the disease, and simple actions you can take to make your community more supportive.

Over 3,800 people have become Dementia Friends in Michigan. Why not join them?
